You have often told yourself that you have looked at everything you have in your fridge or cupboards.
Tired of eating the same thing over and over again and running out of recipes?
Don't worry; this blog is here for you!
7:00 A.M.: Start the day with liquids
Water is always my first priority in the morning. I drink a big glass, then make a small detox drink—a combo of one to two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and water. Then I go for coffee.
8:30 A.M.: Oatmeal and eggs for breakfast
Around this time I start to feel hungry so I head to the kitchen to make breakfast. Lately I’ve been loving a combo of cooked oatmeal and eggs or egg whites. I eat them in one bowl together with hot sauce on the eggs and peanut butter on top of the oatmeal: plenty of protein to keep me feeling full all morning.
12:30 P.M.: For lunch, one giant salad
I believe in eating one large salad a day, so that's what I'll usually do for lunch. Today I eat a grilled barbecue chicken salad with sweet potato croutons, bell pepper, red cabbage and feta with sparkling water.
3:30 P.M.: An energizing snack to avoid that 3 o'clock dip
I decide to have a sliced apple with cinnamon, and a couple homemade peanut butter energy balls-from. I like to keep them in the freezer so they stay good for least a few weeks! This is the perfect snack to keep me from getting ravenous before my sport class.
7:30 P.M.: Sport, then dinner
I make a chicken tacos with an avocado goat cheese sauce that I find the recipe before, and I'm able to whip them up in less than 30 minutes. I eat these while watching one of my favourite TV shows.
9:00 P.M.: One quick after-dinner snack
I like to wait a bit to see if I'm still hungry for an after dinner snack. If I am I have something sweet like banana ice cream, greek yogurt or a couple squares of dark chocolate. Tonight I go with a handful of mango curry trail mix—and then go back for a second, because one handful is never enough.
What you need to remember is that drinking a glass of water when you wake up acts as a appetite suppressant and activates the metabolism. Indeed, it allows you to burn more calories, a significant advantage after the holidays for example. In addition, don't forget the 1.5 Litres of water per day to cut the end throughout the day and it's good for the body!
Here are my little tips and one of my typical days. Don't hesitate to tell me if you plan to get started and if you too are successful!
